Trash day, bulk pickup, leaf collection and drop-off dates · Cuyahoga County · 2026 schedule, checked against the city's own notices on Thursday, October 29
City crews make one pass of each street per collection week, alternating north and south of Royalton Road (Route 82). Leaves piled at the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your week. The city posts a schedule, not progress.
Now, through Fri, Oct 30 · South of Route 82
North of Route 82: weeks of October 19, November 2 and November 17. South of Route 82: weeks of October 26, November 9 and November 23.
Extra weeks may be added if needed and the weather allows; the city says to check its page for updates.
Pile leaves along the curb or roadside, not in the road or a ditch, and no more than 4 feet from the road. Piling leaves in the street is illegal.
No branches, limbs, metal, rocks or firewood in the pile, or it will not be picked up.
Missed the crew? Bag the leaves for trash day, or wait for your next week. After collection ends, all leaves must be bagged.
Weekly, Monday through Friday depending on where you live (the city's trash day map shows each area). At the curb by 7 a.m.
Every week on your area's day
Recycling goes in blue bags or a marked container on your trash day, set on the opposite side of the driveway from the trash.
Recyclable: cans, aluminum cups, cartons, glass bottles and jars, paper and boxes (cardboard no larger than 4 by 4 feet), plastic bottles, jugs and tubs, and clear plastic clamshells.
No pickup on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas. The city does not publish how the week shifts; ask Republic.
Find your day on the city's trash day map, or create an account on Republic's website and search your address.
Sofas, doors, dressers, mattresses and other furniture go at the curb on your regular trash day.
With trash, on your day

Or take the appliance to the transfer station, where Republic removes the Freon.
