Fall leaf collection

City Department of Public Service

City crews collect loose tree-lawn leaves from October 19 to about December 18, coming back every 7 to 10 days, with at least four full citywide pickups. All dates depend on the weather.

Now, through Fri, Dec 18 · Leaf season

  • Rake leaves to the tree lawn, behind the curb, no more than 3 feet from it. Never into the street or onto sidewalks.
  • Leaves only: no sticks, trash, metal, bricks, pet waste or grass clippings.
  • Keep piles away from trees, mailboxes, signs, fire hydrants and storm drains, and holiday decorations at least 10 feet away.
  • Don't park in front of a pile. A blocked pile is picked up on the next cycle.
