City crews collect loose leaves from the tree lawn, route by route, in several passes from mid-October into early December. The city posts each street's status on its own tracker every day.

• Leaves only on the tree lawn: no branches or grass, and nothing in the street.
• Keep storm drains clear, and don't park in front of a leaf pile.
• Bagged leaves, under 50 pounds a bag, can go out with Rumpke on trash day instead.

• Trash goes in bags inside the 96-gallon cart; recycling goes loose in the green cart.
• Holiday weeks: when New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas falls on or before your day, pickup is one day later. A weekend holiday changes nothing.
• Find your day on the city's route list (a 2014 PDF; check with the Service Department if your street is newer).

• Wrap mattresses and upholstered furniture in plastic.
• Carpet in rolls 4 feet long and under 50 pounds. Wood in bundles 1 by 4 feet, under 50 pounds.
• Take refrigerator and freezer doors off; appliances with Freon are collected separately. No tires.
