Fall leaf collection

City Service Department

The city collects loose leaves from October 15 through November 30 (the city's page gives no year), then makes one last citywide pass if the weather allows.

  • Pile leaves along the roadside or curb, within 5 feet of the road, not in the road or a ditch.
  • No branches, metal, rocks or firewood in the pile, or it is skipped. Don't bag them; bagged leaves go out with trash.
  • No service on private streets. The leaf trucks double as snowplows.
